It’s been a while

Well this is probably the laziest blog in the world as I or rather we don’t seem to have posted anything for almost a year and half.  So what’s happened?  Well we’ve bought a flat and have been busy nesting.  Currently recovering from my birthday party which involved drinking massive amounts.  Although this was over two days ago I still feel shocking and am now starting to feel that I will have to cut right back on the sauce before I cause myself some real damage.  This could be difficult as I have no willpower and love booze.

In other news just been to Edinburgh for the first time.  Actually I’m also slightly ashamed to say it was my first visit to Scotland too.  Found Edinburgh to be really nice.  People were friendly and welcoming and despite what Mel Gibson might tell you they don’t all hate the English.  It rained and snowed the whole time we were there but that hasn’t really changed my liking for the place.  Now have a real thirst to get back to Scotland and explore some of the Country.  Edinburgh give you glimpses of the mountains and what lies beyond so it needs to be explored further.

Oddly for someone with a Scottish surname I have no ties to Scotland that I know of although who knows in the dim and distant past my relatives may have headed over the Irish sea to Dublin.

Okay that’s me for now will try and be better and jot more musings down.
